Drive with GO

What you need to drive.

Everything the GO app asks for before you can go online as a GO Driver or GO Dispatch rider.

Step 1

Verify your identity.

You need to be verified before you can go online. It takes about 1 to 3 minutes in the app.

A government ID

Your NIN slip, voter's card, international passport or driver's licence. Clear, no glare, all four corners in view.

A selfie

Taken in the app. Good light, no hat or sunglasses. Your selfie is compared with your ID photo.

Your phone

To take the photos and the selfie. Allow camera access when the app asks.

Step 2

Add your documents.

Upload these in the app under Vehicle & documents. Each one shows its review status.

Driver's licence

The front of your valid licence.

Vehicle registration

Proof of ownership or vehicle papers.

Insurance

Third-party or comprehensive cover.

Profile photo

A clear photo of your face.

Step 3

Tell us about your vehicle.

Choose your vehicle type, then add the model, plate number and photos.

Lightweight

Motorcycles for documents, food and small parcels, up to 20 kg.

Moderate weight

Cars with boot space for boxes, bags and appliances, 20 to 500 kg.

Heavyweight

Vans and trucks for furniture, bulk and building materials, over 500 kg.

Vehicle photos: front, back, left side, right side, interior front and interior back, plus the cargo area for vans and trucks.

Fleet owners

Running a fleet?

Fleet owners verify the business with a CAC certificate, or the owner with NIN or BVN. Each fleet vehicle keeps its registration, insurance and roadworthiness papers.
