These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the GO mobile app and website (together, "GO"), operated by Mendifier Innovations Ltd ("Mendifier", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using GO, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use GO.
1. What GO is
GO is a technology platform that connects people who need rides or deliveries ("Customers") with independent drivers and riders ("Driver Partners"). Mendifier does not itself provide transport or courier services; Driver Partners provide them directly to Customers.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old, or use GO under the supervision of a parent or guardian.
- You sign in with your phone number, verified by a one-time code (OTP) sent by SMS or WhatsApp, or with Google sign-in. Accounts created with Google must also add a verified phone number.
- You must give accurate information and keep your phone and account secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us promptly at hello@mendifier.com if you suspect unauthorised use.
- One person, one account. Do not sell, share or transfer your account.
3. Rides and deliveries
- When you request a trip, GO shows an estimated fare, vehicle type and, where available, estimated arrival time. Estimates may change due to route, traffic, waiting time, tolls or changes you make.
- For deliveries, you must describe the item accurately, package it safely, and ensure someone is available to hand it over and receive it.
- Driver Partners may refuse a trip or item they reasonably consider unsafe, unlawful or not as described.
4. Driver Partners
Driver Partners are independent contractors, not employees, agents or partners of Mendifier. They choose when and whether to accept trips. Before activation we carry out onboarding checks, which may include identity verification, driver's licence, vehicle documents, and other checks permitted by law. Checks reduce risk but cannot guarantee any person's conduct. Driver Partners must comply with all applicable traffic, licensing and transport laws and with our community guidelines.
5. Fares, payments and commission
- Fares are shown in Nigerian Naira (NGN) and may include base fare, distance, time, waiting, tolls and demand-based pricing.
- You may pay with the methods offered in the app, which may include cash, card or transfer through our payment providers. You authorise us and our payment providers to charge the final fare and any applicable fees.
- Mendifier charges Driver Partners a service commission on each completed trip. The commission rate is shown to Driver Partners in the app and may be updated with notice.
- If you believe you were charged incorrectly, contact us within 7 days of the trip.
6. Cancellations
You may cancel a request at any time. A cancellation fee may apply if you cancel after a Driver Partner has accepted and a grace period has passed, or if you are not at the pickup point within the waiting time. Driver Partners who cancel repeatedly without good reason may be restricted. Any applicable fee is shown in the app before it is charged.
7. Safety and SOS
- Always check that the vehicle, plate number and driver match the details in the app before starting a trip.
- Use the in-app safety features, including trip sharing and the SOS button where available.
- In an emergency, contact the authorities first: call 112 (national emergency number) or 199 (Police/Fire). Then report the incident to us.
- Abuse, harassment, discrimination, violence or threats toward anyone will lead to account suspension or removal and may be reported to the authorities.
8. Prohibited items
You must not request delivery of, or carry on a trip:
- illegal drugs, controlled substances or items whose possession is unlawful;
- firearms, ammunition, explosives or weapons;
- flammable, toxic, corrosive or hazardous materials, including fuel and gas cylinders;
- stolen goods, counterfeit goods or currency;
- live animals (other than permitted pets on rides, at the Driver Partner's discretion), human remains or body parts;
- cash, jewellery or other high-value items beyond any limit shown in the app;
- perishables not suitably packaged, or any item over the size or weight limit for the vehicle chosen.
We may cooperate with law enforcement where we reasonably believe an item is unlawful.
9. Your conduct
You agree not to misuse GO, including by giving false information, interfering with the app, scraping, reverse engineering, creating fake accounts, manipulating fares or rewards, or using GO for any unlawful purpose.
10. GO points and rewards
- GO may award points or similar rewards ("GO points") for using GO or helping it grow.
- GO points have no cash value, are not money, e-money, securities or investments, and cannot be sold, transferred or exchanged for cash unless we expressly say otherwise in writing.
- We may change, suspend or end the GO points programme, its rules, or point balances at any time, and may remove points gained through fraud or abuse.
- We make no promise that GO points will ever be converted into any token, coin or digital asset, and no promise of any price, value, return or profit. Any future programme would be subject to separate terms and applicable law.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using GO and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms, create safety risks, or where required by law.
12. Liability
- GO is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that GO will be uninterrupted, error-free or that a Driver Partner will always be available.
- To the extent permitted by law, Mendifier is not liable for the acts or omissions of Driver Partners or Customers, or for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, loss of profit or loss of data.
- Where we are liable, our total liability to you for any claim relating to a trip is limited to the fare paid for that trip, or NGN 50,000 for other claims, whichever is lower, to the extent permitted by law.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Nigerian law, including your rights under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continuing to use GO after changes take effect means you accept them.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any dispute informally. If it cannot be resolved within 30 days, it will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Nigeria.
